Today, I am 20 years old.
But I won’t be for much longer. Tomorrow (4th May) is my 21st birthday! A lot has happened within the last year, and honestly I dont even know where to begin…
Even now sitting here writing this at 11:20PM, 40 minutes away from my own self imposed “deadline”, I’m having a hard time even thinking of where to begin! I suppose I’d like to take this moment to talk about everything that’s changed this year, and what I’ve achieved.
As always, I’ve continued to dedicate myself to learning to draw. Recently I’ve been targeting what I feel is my biggest weakness: drawing hair. Honestly, I still don’t really “get” it yet but there has certaintly been a noticable improvement, specifically in my drawings of Papyrus, Koishi and Hikari.
You know, it’s all still quite surreal to me… ^ ^; Even just two years ago, I could not draw whatsoever. Sometimes I feel very low about my progress, “ah, I should be learning faster…”, “why don’t I understand this!?”, “what if I’ll never be as good as I wish…”, etc. But really, I think I’m doing fine. There’s still a long journey ahead so I should just take it easy, right?
Another huge one would be my OC project! This time last year, there was no project. Other than a few OCs I had in my head and some scenes I had imagined while listening to music, there was literally nothing. Thanks to my wonderful friends who have supported me, I’ve been working tirelessly and taken this small idea and turned it into something very special to me.
I know I talk a lot about this game that I’m working on without actually sharing anything, but development is going really strongly and I have so much to share soon. I hope you can all look forward to the story of Ines and Aria!
Come to think of it, I owe a lot to my friends. They support me with learning to draw, they support me with my personal projects, they read this stupid shit I post on this website and so so much more.
Truthfully, I think thats what I’m most grateful for. Thank you to every wonderful person I’ve met, both new friends and old friends. I’m so grateful to everybody and their support, I love you all.
Sorry for not writing much of substance haha… its 11:57PM now and its getting late! I think I’m getting Pragmata for my birthday and the new Tomodachi Life too, both games are very interesting to me and I’m really excited to play them. Tomodachi Life especially, I was so exicted for the 3DS one in like 2014 that I accidentally pre ordered the game twice somehow!
